In order to improve the printing services for academic classes, a printer was installed in the 1102 Hart Hall media computer classroom at the start of the Spring Quarter. Previously, all printing was routed to two printers in 1101 Hart Hall, located just outside of the computer classroom. The addition of the printer reduces the amount of foot-traffic in and out of the room during classes, allows students to more easily find their print jobs, and keeps larger media-based print jobs in the classroom queue, which allows the printers in 1101 Hart Hall to keep up with the general class material and email print requests. Faculty consulted prior to the installation were in favor of the additional printer, and Computer Lab Management has received several positive responses since the installation.
