163 Shields Renovated
Computer Lab Management (CLM) completely renovated the computer room in 163 Shields
during Summer 2006. The room layout was changed and new furniture was
installed. This allowed CLM to add three more computer stations. In
addition, 10 stations were converted to stand-up Quick Access stations.
We
hope these changes will allow more clients to use the computers and reduce the
lines.
As part of the renovation the pillars were squared off, the room was
painted, and new lights were installed. New Dell Dell GX620 computers
with 3.6GHz Pentium 4, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB hard drives, CD-RW/DVD-ROM drives,
and 17" flat panel monitors were installed.
