Microsoft Internet Explorer 3 Removed

Micosoft Internet Explorer 3 has been removed from the PC computer rooms. It no longer supported current web standards and plug-ins, and therefore was no longer a viable web browser.
Lab Management investigated upgrading to Microsoft Internet Explorer 4. However, IE 4 makes numerous changes to the operating system and in testing caused the systems to be less stable. Therefore, we have decided to not upgrade to IE 4.
Therefore, Lab Mangement will only be supporting Netscape on the PC platforms. We will evaluate future versions of Internet Explorer as the are released.

Note: This concerns only the PC computer rooms. Internet Explorer 4 for the Macintosh doesn't have the same problems as the PC version, and therefore will be installed in the Mac computer rooms.
