New PC Film Recorder in New Media Lab
Computer Lab Management completed installing a film recorder in the Meyer
Media Lab to allow people to capture computer image screens to 35 mm slides
or negatives. The Laser Graphics Mark III is installed on a Dell computer to
serve Windows based users and supplement another film recorder connected to
an Apple Mac computer. High demand and long down times necessitated the need
to purchase a second film recorder. Additionally, clients familiar with
Windows requested the second device to be installed on a PC rather than a
Mac. The addition cost over $8,000 and Computer Lab Management intends the
device to be in service for three to five years.
