Controlling a screen

Description

The control function allows you to remotely control a student’s mouse and keyboard from your station. 


To control another station

  • Select the station you would like to control.
  • Click the “Watch” button in the toolbar.
  • To take control, click on the “Lockout” button on the control window.

By default, when controlling a student’s station the student cannot use the keyboard or mouse. If you want to share keyboard and mouse control, click on the “Shared” button on the control window.


To stop controlling

  • Click on the red close button in the upper left-hand corner of the control window.

Tips on controlling another station

  • A controlled station will not be as responsive as your own station.  This means that there will be a slight delay when moving the mouse or typing.
  • Text quality may be degraded slightly.  Increase the zoom level or the font size for more a more readable display.
