What is AB Tutor Control?
AB Tutor Control is a desktop management package. Computer Lab Management (CLM) provides Tutor Control in computer classrooms for its screen management tools.
What can Tutor Control do?
The four primary functions of Tutor Control are:
- Lock the screen of a specific or all stations
- Watch or observe another station’s screen
- Control another station
- Share screens between stations
Where is Tutor Control installed?
AB Tutor Control is installed in all PC classrooms. These are all computer classrooms in Hutchison, 2020 SLB and in 1131 Meyer. The Tutor Control administration program is only installed on the instructor’s station.
Is there anything I should know before using Tutor Control?
There is a password required to use the program. It is available from the Computer Room Consultant (CRC). Since the program can access sensitive information, please do not share this password with anyone else.
How do I open Tutor Control?
From the Start Menu:
- Click on “All Programs”
- Click on “Class software”
- Click on “AB Tutor Control”

- When prompted, enter the Tutor Control password

If you have forgotten the password, please see the CRC on duty.
- Click on "No" in the warning dialog box
